A first important investment aimed at energy self-sufficiency, with a view to environmental sustainability, was the installation of 4 photovoltaic systems that led to energy self-sufficiency: this also involved the removal of asbestos from the entire roofing and its related insulation. After several years of experimentation LA.M.PLASTIC decided to replace the traditional hydraulic presses with new electric machines that allow significant energy savings and, even more revolutionary, do not use hydraulic oil, avoiding the management of hazardous waste and potentially harmful materials for the environment, therefore ensuring the eco-sustainability of production.
Eco-sustainability
Today a plastic product can be eco-sustainable if:
- it is produced with clean energy and with respect for the environment
- it is considered a resource and totally recycled
- the recycling mindset becomes normal practice

Features
Photovoltaic and energy independence
Is it possible to use energy without polluting? Yes, now it is possible. By exploiting the energy of the sun it is in fact possible to use and produce energy without harmful emissions into the atmosphere and without depleting our environmental resources. The sun, which provides 100% clean energy, is a source that does not run out with use and is also the only path towards a sustainable environmental future. LA.M.PLASTIC has committed itself to providing a concrete contribution and thanks to significant investments in 4 photovoltaic systems with a total capacity of 580 kW, since 2008 it has been producing electrical energy capable of fully meeting the company’s energy requirements and is therefore energy self-sufficient. Furthermore, the surplus clean electricity produced is fed into the grid, also contributing to reducing energy dependence on foreign sources.
Awards
“New Energy” Award
On October 11, 2011 Lamp received an important recognition from the Padua Chamber of Commerce during the award ceremony of the “New Energy” competition. A satisfaction that rewards the efforts made in the field of energy saving.
Following all these innovations LA.M.PLASTIC was awarded recognition by the Chamber of Commerce for being the company that invested the most in the energy sector with the construction of the largest integrated photovoltaic system in the Veneto region.
Innovations
Electric machines & shredding system
After several years of experimentation LA.M.PLASTIC decided to replace the traditional hydraulic presses with new electric machines that allow significant energy savings and, even more revolutionary, do not use hydraulic oil, avoiding the management of hazardous waste and potentially harmful materials for the environment, therefore ensuring the eco-sustainability of production.
LA.M.PLASTIC has always internally recycled production waste in order to reuse the material within the production process; since 2010 a new shredding system has been purchased which also makes it possible to separate the plastic material from the metal hooks so that both materials can be reused. Thanks to this new system we can recover hangers coming from stores and garment packaging, preventing their dispersion into the environment and contributing to waste recycling.
